British Museum × Pablo Picasso
During the media preview of Picasso: The Printmakers, we had the privilege of interviewing the exhibition’s curator, Catherine Daunt, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Prints at the British Museum. The conversation addressed several key themes, including the influential figures in Pablo Picasso’s printmaking practice, the curatorial vision behind the exhibition, the impact of AI on traditional easel painting, and Picasso’s lasting influence on the development of modern art in Europe. The exhibition brings together approximately 100 prints by Picasso, including rarely exhibited works from his late “347 Series.” Although Picasso is best known for his paintings, he was also a pioneering figure in printmaking, producing around 2,400 prints throughout his career. The British Museum has steadily expanded its Picasso print collection, now comprising over 500 works, making it the largest institutional collection of Picasso prints in the UK. Picasso’s prints are deeply autobiographical, reflecting his personal relationships, emotional states, and extraordinary creative vitality. Largely self-taught as a printmaker, Picasso produced his first major print, The Frugal Meal, in 1904, marking the beginning of a lifelong engagement with the medium. The exhibition also features selections from the iconic Vollard Suite, a set of 100 etchings created between 1930 and 1937, demonstrating his technical innovations and sustained dialogue with classical art and mythology. In 1968, at the age of 86, Picasso produced the celebrated “347 Series,” a monumental body of etchings and intaglio prints that encapsulate his late-life reflections on memory, desire, and mortality. This exhibition presents the most extensive selection to date from the British Museum’s holdings of this series.

A LITTLE BIT OF HOME
This documentary explores the emotional landscape of individuals living in London, far away from their homes and cultural origins. It focuses on the shared experiences of loneliness, displacement, and homesickness that often accompany life in a foreign city. The film centers on one female protagonist whose everyday life becomes a quiet site of emotional negotiation. Cooking functions not merely as a domestic routine, but as a form of emotional release and self-repair — a ritual through which she reconnects with memory, identity, and a sense of belonging. Through food, she briefly reconstructs an intimate connection to “home” within an unfamiliar urban environment. While grounded in the specificity of one individual’s story, her experience resonates with a broader community of migrants and expatriates living in London. The documentary adopts emotional development as its narrative structure, tracing subtle shifts in the protagonist’s inner state over time. By observing moments of solitude, longing, and self-soothing, the film reflects on how contemporary urban subjects search for emotional grounding and build a sense of inner home while living in displacement.

Garip Ay × Enginmed
This brand film was created for a medical devices company specializing in non-invasive near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) technology for tissue oxygenation monitoring. The film centers on the themes of water, life, and legacy, expressing a philosophical reflection on the continuity of knowledge, technology, and values. The visual narrative is built around the art of marbling, in which imagery is formed on the surface of water. Landscapes of the Aegean Sea and classical Greek sculptures emerge and dissolve within flowing pigments. A phoenix appears, carrying a stone through the shifting imagery, symbolizing the transmission of heritage across time.
